Join us on our most popular trip, exploring the rock gorges and sea caves of the spectacular Ramsey Island on this one-hour, fully guided tour that runs hourly throughout the day. With a chance of seeing Atlantic grey seals, harbour porpoise, and a myriad of breeding seabirds. There is no age limit on this trip and dogs are also welcome.
Ramsey Island is both rugged and spectacular, with a rich local history. It is now an RSPB nature reserve and is home to guillemots, razorbills, northern fulmars, chough and peregrine falcons.
It is possible to land on Ramsey, however, if you really want to experience the wildlife up close, then you have to take the Ramsey Island Voyage. Nearly all of the island's outstanding features and wildlife are at the water's edge (including the second-highest sea cliffs in Pembrokeshire). You can only experience this in our purpose-built vessels with our expert guides.
Starting at St Justinians old lifeboat station, we will power you across the notorious, mile-wide Ramsey Sound.
Depending on the state of the tide, we will explore the massive tidal flow over the 'The Bitches' rock formation, regaling you with tales of the unfortunate shipwrecks over the years.
From there we will choose a route around the island. Each sailing will be different and will be tailored based on the conditions and tides on the day. We will always endeavor to cover the whole island.
Each trip is a mixture of exhilaration and wildlife. We will get you up close to the wildlife and share our knowledge and passion for it. Our guides are experts in the marine wildlife of the stunning Pembrokeshire coast and the geology of the islands. They will ensure that you are having as much fun as possible whilst learning all about our stunning coast and the wildlife that inhabits it.
