Educational Trips

The voyages we offer can be tailored to link in with specific learning outcomes for Key Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4 of the National Curriculum as well as to meet the educational needs of persons studying in higher education.

Voyages of Discovery aim to provide an exhilarating, inspirational, educational experience which is interactive and environmentally sensitive. Each and every voyage is unique, taking into account the season, weather and tides.

All our trips are educationally relevant and can be adjusted to suit a complete range of requirements, from Primary and Secondary schools, all the way through to College and University field trips.

Learn about Ramsey Sound’s wildlife, including Atlantic grey seals and porpoise, visiting seabirds like guillemots, razorbills and puffins, as well as the huge tidal flows, treacherous reefs and historic shipwrecks, trading and monastic histories of the islands.

Ramsey Island and the St Davids peninsula is home to a huge range of geological history from some of the earliest sedimentary rocks to more recent (relatively) volcanic extrusions, much of which can be clearly seen around the island’s coastline all of which can be included in the educational package and is often the focus of geological field trips.

Whether you need hard facts for a research project, interesting information for a presentation or inspiration for your next creative piece, just let us know and we will tailor your trip to meet your needs.

Our dedicated experienced team will assist you through the entire process, making your time run without any stress. This includes your initial enquiry and all health and safety paperwork including risk assessments.
